Cricket Clubs with Junior Sections and Affiliated Clubs should have a Safeguarding Officer at the Club. Depending on what qualifications you hold there are two possible routes, please note you must select the correct option:
Qualified Coach & Safeguarding Officer
- The new online ECB Safeguarding for Specialist Roles (details below)
- Safe Hands Workshop Course Certificate
- A Cricket Specific DBS Clearance
Safeguarding Officer Only
- ECB Safeguarding for Specialist Roles – Those registering on Safe Hands Workshop will automatically receive notification from the ECB following attendance on the workshop in order to complete the new Safeguarding for Specialist Roles course online. For those with an ECB elearning account, simply log onto your ECB eLearning account https://elearning.ecb.co.uk. You will see the ‘Safeguarding for Specialist Roles’ (SSR) course listed. The top-up elements will be greyed out, these will only become available once the SSR has been completed. If you have forgotten your log on details, contact elearning@ecb.co.uk and they will send you a reminder. Please note that existing coaches/activators or those who have registered on an ECB coaching course will already have an account. For those without a current ECB eLearning account, please Book Here. Please note, the ECB no longer considers other safeguarding qualifications in lieu of the the above course.
