In 2025 we are running five Grounds Workshops scheduled throughout the year, each covering a variety of themes aligned with the annual cycle of Grounds Maintenance. Delivered by our expert County Pitch Advisors and our colleagues from the Grounds Management Association, these informative face-to-face sessions are open to anyone interested in grounds maintenance and include practical demonstrations (weather permitting), discussions, and ample time for questions.
Pre-Season Preparation
Date: Saturday 1st March 2025 (10:00 – 13:00)

- Setting out the square
- Pre-Season rolling
- Fertiliser treatments
Preparing Pitches for Play
Date: Tuesday 6th May 2025 (18:30 – 20:30)

Content will include:
- Mowing
- Scarifying
- Irrigation
- Rolling
- Marking Out
In Season Renovations
Date: Wednesday 4th June (Time TBC)
Venue: Kenley Cricket Club, 49 Little Roke Rd, Kenley, CR8 5NF
Cost: £10
Content will include:
- Repairing bowlers foot holes
- Repairing batters’ marks
- Reseeding pitches for re-use
End of Season Renovations
Date: Monday 21st July 2025 (18:30 – 20:30)

Content will include:
- Scarification
- Aeration
- Overseeding
- Top Dressing
Winter Maintenance
Date: Saturday 20th September (10:00 – 13:00)

- Winter maintenance programmes
- Equipment maintenance
