The Surrey Cricket Foundation is thrilled to announce the launch of three brand new MCC Foundation Hubs starting in January 2025! These hubs, run by experienced Surrey Cricket Foundation coaches, offer a fantastic opportunity for state-school educated boys and girls aged 11-16 to develop their cricketing skills in a fun and supportive environment – completely FREE of charge!
What is an MCC Foundation Hub?
The MCC Foundation Hubs are a network of cricket hubs across the UK that offer FREE training and match play for young cricketers.
Purpose
The hubs aim to reduce barriers to accessing cricket, promote participation, and diversify talent pathways. They also help young cricketers develop their skills, join cricket clubs, and improve their focus and performance at school.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the hubs, young cricketers must:
- Be aged 11–16
- Attend a state school
- Be willing to commit to attending all sessions
- Be comfortable playing hard-ball cricket
Not be already a member of a County Age Group programme

Clapham Boys Hub: Train at St Francis Xavier Sixth Form College (SW12 8EN) every Sunday from 10am to 1pm.
- Boys’ trial day: Sunday 19th January 2025 (10am – 4pm).
- (If selected) Winter training schedule: 9 x weekly sessions starting 26th January (split into 2 x 1.5 hour sessions between 10am – 1pm).
